Large-Signal Simulation Model for PTC Thermistor

چکیده

A compact electrothermal simulation model for a semiconductor thermistor with positive temperature coeecient (PTC) is presented. The model presented is phenomenological, but it is based on physical models published by Heywang (1961,1964), Mallick and Emtage (1968), and Zhang and Cao (1996). With this dynamic, non-linear electrical-equivalent circuit model, combined electrical and thermal behaviour of PTCs can be analyzed in the frequency and time domains with a circuit simulation program. The model has been veriied by t-ting its response to several resistance-temperature and current-voltage data-sheet characteristics. A typical maximum relative resistance error at temperatures -25 C. .. 150 C is about 15 %.

Blood Flow Simulation in an Aorta with a mild coarctation Using Magnetic Resonance Angiography and Finite Volume Method

Coarctation of the aorta is one of the five main congenital cardiovascular failures, accounting for 6–8 percent of these failures. This research aimed to simulate the blood flow of a seventeen-year-old male teen with a mild coarctation at one-third of his aorta's descending branch. The simulation was performed by extracting the domain and the input pulsatile velocity signal as the boundary cond...

Design of a Model Reference Adaptive Controller Using Modified MIT Rule for a Second Order System

Sometimes conventional feedback controllers may not perform well online because of the variation in process dynamics due to nonlinear actuators, changes in environmental conditions and variation in the character of the disturbances. To overcome the above problem, this paper deals with the designing of a controller for a second order system with Model Reference Adaptive Control (MRAC) scheme usi...

Delay-dependent stability for transparent bilateral teleoperation system: an LMI approach

There are two significant goals in teleoperation systems: Stability and performance. This paper introduces an LMI-based robust control method for bilateral transparent teleoperation systems in presence of model mismatch. The uncertainties in time delay in communication channel, task environment and model parameters of master-slave systems is called model mismatch. The time delay in communicatio...

Accuracy of thermistors and thermocouples as flow-measuring devices for detecting hypopnoeas.

The aim of this work was to assess the accuracy of thermistors/thermocouples as devices for detecting hypopnoeas in sleep studies. Conventional thermistor/thermocouples were studied with a respiratory model allowing the simulation of inspiratory (22 degrees C) and expiratory (37 degrees C) flows. The thermistor signal (V'th) was compared with a pneumotachograph (V'th): 1) for sinusoidal and squ...

Optimal Signal Control in Urban Road Networks with High Priority Congested Centers

Keeping the density of traffic flow and air pollution in an acceptable level and developing a good capacity for transit in the high priority areas of the city, is really a big deal in large and crowded cities. To address this problem, a new method of intersection signal optimization is presented in this paper. Based on network fundamental diagrams, an Internal–External Traffic Metering Strategy...
